This epic western tells about the West family and their life-threatening struggles to keep their Wet Springs Ranch from being stolen by the evil town-ruling Poindexter.

During Kurt West's youth, the family befriends many people from various cultures and religions. These individuals are instrumental in the battle against the hired guns of Poindexter. A central character, Father Torres--a priest in a nearby village, assists the Wests by sending reliable ranch hands, builders, and workman to live and work at the ranch. Kurt, at an early age, saves a kitten and a filly that become bonded to him. Young Kurt also becomes a pistolero and saves his father from attacking rustlers. The story of Kurt's honest courage and fame as a child gunfighter spreads throughout the region.

Later, as a teenager, Kurt falls in love with the stepdaughter of their enemy, Poindexter. How the Wests overcome the ruthless attacks of Poindexter and his crew is the finale of this fast-moving and unique western saga. Fight for Wet Springs is a story of the Wests and their struggle to save their land; it is a story of races coming together to fight injustice; it is a story of love and honor and hope, and the many individuals who stand together for what is right.

READ MORE FROM THIS ACTION PACKED WESTERN:

Standing against the wall looking on were three of Poindexter's guards.  When they recognized Kurt they began to draw.  Kurt shot all three of them in the chest.  Sheriff Engler began a clumsy draw and the deputy just stared.

"Throw down your guns, boys.  All of you---NOW!" said Kurt, his stare narrow and deadly.  "Poindexter.  You were talking about cowards.  I have four pistols here.  Which one do you want?"

"I am not a gun slick," said Poindexter.  "You’d have all the advantage."

"Yeah, but you hire gun slicks.  You hang around with them.  You tell them what to do.  You sent one and he killed my father.  So, as they say, live by the gun, die by the gun."

1st Edition

FIGHT FOR WET SPRINGS has it all.

Action and adventure, love and romance, heroes, heroines, and villains.

The most spellbinding western to come out of the old west since Riders of the Purple Sage!

Clive Cussler (Author 19 times on New York Times best seller list)

Kurt West loved his cat, Little Tiger, and his horse, Cindy.  His affection for his animals was the only soft trait of the young man; he was the kind of man you didn’t want to pester.  He stood between his town of Wet Springs and his ranch whose workers look to him for courage and leadership, and the murderous Poindexter who wants Kurt dead.  The sheriff and the judge are on Poindexter’s payroll, so there is no one to help Kurt but himself.   A fine traditional Western.
