THREE DAYS UNDER THE SUN AND OTHER TALES OF THE OLD WEST
|
This Audio Book is a collection of four thrilling stories revealing the harsh struggle for survival in the early West.
In the title story, THREE DAYS UNDER THE SUN, a wagon train travels through Sioux territory and is attacked. Many are killed. A scout named Stone finds himself in charge of the group of twenty-nine survivors, including a baby and a beautiful senorita. Other tales deal with the slaughter of a peaceful Indian village, a man hanging from a cliff's edge, and a plainsman bitten by a rattlesnake reliving his adventurous past.
Read by the author, Charlie Steel, these fascinating stories will capture the imagination and entertain the listener.

Western author Charlie Steel refers to the matinee cowboy heroes of his childhood, and how they were inspirational in the stories that he writes. I’m certain that Steel would welcome the name of Bob Steele (with only the final “e” to separate the actor from the author) to the list that includes Gene Autry and Hopalong Cassidy. Like Charlie Steel’s stories, the cowboy star was short, but carried a big punch. The author reads from his works with a no-nonsense style: clear, clean, and hard-hitting.
